Angie is a rescue from our San Bernardino Intervention program and a true testament to what teamwork in a rescue community can do. Abandoned with her sibling at just 10 weeks old, she was subjected to unthinkable painful injuries resulting in a broken leg and multiple wounds, on top of a flea and tick infestation. Good samaritans found her and began networking her, another rescue notified us of her condition and we could not resist stepping in. She was immediately rushed to a vet where she was stabilized, and then we learned how special she really was. Since her hospitalized and surgery she has healed and shown how forgiving and loving she truly is. She is a little shy but welcomes affection and will give kisses to any living thing in site. She likes toys, and belly rubs and would love to be a part of a family that is willing to contribute to her blossoming into the amazing dog she was born to be. She loves other dogs and she walks well on the leash. She loves to play, is eager to please, and is curious and fun. She is also super soft. Angie is 5 months old and weighs about 22 lbs. Astro is a gentle giant! We rescued him after he was abandoned in Compton and found hiding under his owner's old couch. He is about 1 year old, but seems to have grown out of his "puppy phase". He is a mellow guy with great leash manners. He is so special and we can't wait to find his forever family! He weighs about 45lbs. Dad is amazing! We rescued him from the Palmdale Shelter. He is ten years old and so cute. He is sweet and mellow and he is good with other dogs and cats. He has giant ears and a tiny tail. He likes going on walks and he loves to play with other dogs. He loves laying beside you in his little bed, napping the day away. He loves chicken jerky treats and gets so excited when he gets one. When he is really excited, he does little jumps and barks and dances around, which is very cute. He is a lot of fun. Dad is 10 years old and about 15 lbs. Dobby is amazing! He is a very happy and loving boy who we rescued from the Lancaster Shelter where he was turned in as a stray. When he came to us he was underweight and scared. We helped him put on some healthy weight and now he is much more outgoing and loves to go on walks. Sometimes he is shy around new dogs but he warms up quickly. Dobby is playful, smart and very treat-motivated. He doesn't like cats but is great with people and other dogs. He would love to find a home where he can follow around his favorite people, play fetch and cuddle all day. Ghost is an extremely handsome and sweet Frenchie who was rescued from the Lancaster Shelter. He loves to cuddle and he has a lot of energy and can jump very high. His favorite games are tug of war and fetch. He walks really well on leash and likes other dogs. He has a lot of energy and needs an active owner who has plenty of time to spend with him. He would love a home with a yard so he can run around and play fetch often. He has sensitive skin that the vet attributes to allergies (likely environmental) and sun exposure. Ideally he should wear doggy sunscreen or a UV blocking shirt/hat when he is outside. Ghost is such a good boy and we are excited to help him find his forever home. Hades is a calm, confident dog. Hades loves attention and treats, and will happily wag his tiny tail at the sight of you. He enjoys being around people but can be reactive around other animals, so would be best suited to stay at home getting all the attention there where he would love to play fetch and tug-o-war all day long. Hades has completed 4 weeks in a training facility but would benefit from continued training because of his large, powerful size. Hades would do best in a home with an active family or person and will require a home with high fencing as he can jump over most standard fences. Hades must also be the only pet in the home- no cats or dogs. Halston is a 3-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a big heart and even bigger smile. He loves people and won’t hesitate to hop up for some kisses and attention. Halston does well with other dogs when given proper introductions and would thrive in a home ready to help him keep building confidence. He will require some basic training in a home. Hemmet is a large, loveable pup that will cuddle in your lap if you let him. He does have a birth defect that caused a spinal malformation which caused a slight compression of his spinal cord. Despite this, Hemmet is a sweet and silly boy who enjoys his daily walks with staff, time in the yard and going to his weekly physical therapy appointments where he does underwater treadmill. He will need some training during his transition to home life, but he will make sure to fill your whole world with fun and love. Kasper is the friendliest little guy! He absolutely loves squeaky toys and will get the zoomies and do play bows with them. He loves his people and will do happy howl when you get home because he is sooo excited to see you. He makes an awesome office dog, showing lots of love, being calm and chilling in his bed all day. He is on a weight loss journey and enjoys walks and car rides!

World make way for the cutest mini husky on the planet! She knows tricks, she loves socializing, and oh boy does she loves snuggles! She loves going on walks and she does well with other dogs. We rescued her from the San Bernardino shelter in September. Keira is 1 year old and weighs about 37 lbs. She would do best in a home with no cats. Lucy is a very sweet and mellow 12 year old who was abandoned in a carrier. She loves being outside and is happiest sitting in the sun. She loves to sniff everything and relax. She is blind, but she can hear and when she hears your voice she wags her little tail in excitement. Her legs are deformed so she walks a little funny and very low to the ground, but she gets around pretty well. She is very easy-going and low-energy. She loves people and she is so small you can carry her everywhere. She recently had a dental and had most of her teeth removed and she is feeling much better. She loves eating, loves her treats, and has a great appetite. If you're looking for a senior dog and have a sunny backyard or a patio for her to relax on, Lucy may be the dog for you. Marvin is a sweet, young boy we rescued from the San Bernardino Shelter. He was turned in as a stray with a few wounds, including a painful foxtail embedded in his paw. Since then, he’s healed up beautifully and is ready for the next chapter of his life. Marvin can be shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he melts into affection and loves to snuggle. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. Like many dogs with a rough start, Marvin is still learning to feel fully secure. He can be sensitive around high-value items and may guard them, which is something a patient adopter can work on with the support of a positive-reinforcement trainer. Because of this, Marvin would do best in an adult-only home with someone experienced or willing to learn how to support him as he continues to build confidence. We also think Marvin would be happiest in a home with no other pets. He has a bite history, which we’re happy to discuss in more detail with interested adopters. Marvin deserves a chance with someone who understands his needs. He’s also managing some skin allergies and is on medication that’s been helping him feel much more comfortable. Meet Mr. Waffles, our 5 year old terrier! Waffles enjoys spending his days in one of our yards playing with all of his favorite toys. He'll even come up to you and show off his most prized toys with a happy smile and wagging tail. Waffles also loves to play with water and to jump in our pool for his daily swim in the warmer months. He also knows several commands like sit, down, and paw. He is very treat and toy motivated and very smart so training him to do nearly anything should be a breeze! Mr. Waffles is definitely a high energy dog that will require a family that can keep up by either playing with him in the yard, going swimming, or frequent walks and activities. Mr. Waffles can be a bit reactive on a leash when he sees other dogs but has been making great strides the past few months with making new dog friends. Mr. Waffles gets along with other friendly dogs that are a little smaller or bigger than him after proper introductions. Muddy Buddy is an active and happy-go-lucky 4 year old boy. He is very friendly and outgoing. He loves playing with his toys and going on long walks. He loves cuddling and being pet. He knows basic commands. He is a goofy and fun-loving dog. Weighing around 50 pounds, he’s much larger and stronger than he appears in photos. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys his daily pack walks, but he prefers to have his food and toys to himself so he should be the only pet in the home. Paloma is five months old and so much fun. She is social and friendly and playful. She is very wiggly and super cute. She is good with dogs and cats. She loves to run around and explore and she is always in a good mood. She had to have one of her eyes removed and she receives eye medicine twice daily in her other eye due to dry eye. The medications are easy to administer. When she is one-year-old she may need to have a procedure on her remaining eye, which we would cover at her eye doctor in Santa Monica. Punky is truly the best! We rescued this sweet girl, along with several others, from a breeding situation in 2022, and she’s been winning hearts ever since. Punky is the perfect mix of gentle and playful. Though she may look a little tough, Punky is actually a total softie. She adores belly rubs, thrives on affection, and is always up for a car ride. She’s outgoing, silly, and full of personality. Punky has sensitive skin and takes an allergy pill to keep her comfortable. She also takes joint supplements. If the words “empathetic” and “kind” could manifest themselves into a dog it would be our sweet Reba McEntire. At five years old, Reba found herself in a state or horrible neglect with her housemate and abandoned on the streets in San Bernardino. Due to her state, the shelter recommended she get immediate care and started reaching out to rescues. Our intervention counselor saw how shut down she was and couldn’t resist giving her a chance at a fresh start. She was emaciated, had bald spots and wounds, an ear infection, and issues with her eyes. Since coming into our care, Reba has nearly doubled her weight and oh boy did her personality grow with her appetite! She had to have one of her eyes removed. She is super cute as a one-eyed poodle and she is doing great. Reba is affectionate but gentle, often acting as a support for other animals in need while in foster, and she seems to know exactly the right time to put her head in your lap. She would love to be in a home where she could embrace her living teddy bear energy and be an involved part of her family. She would likely do best in a home with another dog friend. She is a calm and gentle soul. She walks well on a leash, loves being pet, and absolutely loves other dogs. We cannot emphasize enough how amazingly sweet and gentle this lady is.
