August is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves to run and play. He was scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter because he had a seizure his first night there. We took him in and had him checked out by our vet. He was seizure free for a month with us before he had one. Our neurologist was able to get him in quickly and he was diagnosed with epilepsy. He is now on daily medication to prevent and control the frequency of his seizures and has been doing fantastic. August is a very friendly guy who would make an amazing hiking companion.

Despite sometimes arriving and feeling quite nervous, Carly has absolutely blossomed into a wonderful and sweet dog. She also has been doing great in a play group with the other dogs around her size here and would do great with in a household with other dogs.

Clark is a happy boy that enjoys taking walks with the staff and volunteers, playing with toys, and getting a treat for being the cutest boy around! Clark was returned to the East Valley Shelter after only a week in a home. They felt he was not settling in and a "outdoor dog". We have seen nothing but comfort and good vibes from this boy. He is a real charmer!

Visit me at St. Bonnie's Sanctuary
Meet Curly our adorable 4-year-old poodle who is searching for his forever home! This sweet and friendly pup is a social butterfly, getting along just fine with other dogs. He came to us from the East Valley shelter with a limp and wonky walk, but upon examination from a neurologist and orthopedic surgeon, it turns out he just likes to stand that way and walks a little goofy. Curly enjoys sitting in laps and being carried around by our staff and would make a great addition to any home!

Visit me at St. Bonnie's Sanctuary
Diva, the maltipoo, is on the hunt for her forever home after being raised in a loving household but was sadly surrendered due to unforeseen circumstances. Currently, we are in the process of having her teeth fixed after years of neglect but that doesn't stop her from loving her treats! Despite her past, Diva's sweet temperament shines through as she walks gracefully on a leash, ready to shower her new owner with affection and become their loyal lap companion. Diva is particular with who she allows in into her heart and must be the only pet in a home. With her endearing nature, Diva is eagerly waiting to bring joy and warmth to her new forever family.

Hades
Visit me at St. Bonnie's Sanctuary
Hades is a calm, confident dog. Hades loves attention and treats, and will happily wag his tiny tail at the sight of you. He enjoys being around people but can be reactive around other animals, so would be best suited to stay at home getting all the attention there where he would love to play fetch and tug-o-war all day long. Hades has just completed 4 weeks in a training facility but would benefit from continued training because of his large, powerful size.
Hades would do best in a home with an active family or person and will require a home with high fencing as he can jump over most standard fences. Hades must also be the only pet in the home- no cats or dogs.

Hemmet is a large, loveable pup that will cuddle in your lap if you let him. He does have a birth defect that caused a spinal malformation which caused a slight compression of his spinal cord. Despite this, Hemmet is a sweet and silly boy who enjoys his daily walks with staff, time in the yard and going to his weekly physical therapy appointments where he does underwater treadmill and acupuncture sessions. He will need some training during his transition to home life, but he will make sure to fill your whole world with fun and love.

Ichabod is a young guy and has a good amount of energy. He has gotten along well with the other dogs here but does not like cats. He is going to make a wonderful addition to someone's home.

Punky
Visit me at Lange Foundation
Punky is the best! We rescued her along with a few other dogs that were previously used for breeding. She has sensitive skin and is on a daily pill to help her with skin irritation. Punky is the definition of gentle giant. She may look intimidating but she is really a softie. She spooks easily by loud cars that drive by and the dreaded garbage truck so she often prefers to go on walks with another dog to help her confidence. She loves to have her belly rubbed, is very affectionate and is great in the car. She has a very silly personality, is extremely outgoing and will make a wonderful companion. She does well with most other dogs and likes being part of a pack but would also be happy being an only dog. If you're looking for your very own house hippo, look no further!
