We rescued Bijou from the East Valley Shelter where she was turned in after being hit by a car. She was covered in abrasions and having trouble putting weight on her back legs. We were able to get her surgery to fix her broken leg and she is doing so well! She is a very sweet girl who is getting around really well. She still has a few rechecks at the vet but is ready to find her forever home!!

Clark is a happy boy that enjoys taking walks with the staff and volunteers, playing with toys, and getting a treat for being the cutest boy around! Clark was rescued from the East Valley Shelter in April. We have seen nothing but comfort and good vibes from this boy. He is a real charmer who gets so excited to meet new people. He has a good amount of energy but mellows out after a good play session or hike. He is looking for an active home with a human he can call his own!

Meet Cosmo! This precious little chihuahua terrier mix loves to play and is the perfect lap dog. He came to us from the Castaic shelter with a case of pneumonia and giardia but has finished his treatment and is in perfect health now. Meet Falkor, a one-year-old rescue with a heart full of love and an infectious personality! This sweet pup gets along with everyone he meets, whether it's humans or fellow dogs, and he's always ready for playtime. Gidget is a mellow and sweet poodle who we rescued from the San Bernardino Shelter where she was turned in as a stray. She was fostered for a few weeks and just came to us. We are having a great time getting to know her! She does well on leash and likes other dogs. She is very loving and laid back. She is going to make an amazing companion!

Hades is a calm, confident dog. Hades loves attention and treats, and will happily wag his tiny tail at the sight of you. He enjoys being around people but can be reactive around other animals, so would be best suited to stay at home getting all the attention there where he would love to play fetch and tug-o-war all day long. Hades has completed 4 weeks in a training facility but would benefit from continued training because of his large, powerful size. Hades would do best in a home with an active family or person and will require a home with high fencing as he can jump over most standard fences. Hades must also be the only pet in the home- no cats or dogs. Hamilton is a fluffy and adorable Pomeranian mix that we rescued from the San Bernardino Shelter. He was very scared at the shelter but is doing well with us. His shelter notes indicated that he may have some arthritis in his back legs. He is seeing our vet this week to asses his overall health and then once he is neutered he will be ready to go home! Harley is a handsome fella who we intercepted in San Bernardino. His owner was no longer able to care for him and was going to surrender him to the shelter. He is such a cutie and is so sweet! He likes other dogs and is a good walker. He is seeing the vet this week for a possible ear infection and then will be ready to find his forever home! Meet Heaven! Heaven came to us not too long ago with his friend Poopoo severely matted. After a good bath and trim he's looking great and is now looking for his forever home after his neuter on 12/4/24. Heaven is a major goofball who loves affection from staff and the companionship of other dogs, which makes us think he'd do great with adopted with one of his friends here or go to a home with other dogs! Hemmet is a large, loveable pup that will cuddle in your lap if you let him. He does have a birth defect that caused a spinal malformation which caused a slight compression of his spinal cord. Despite this, Hemmet is a sweet and silly boy who enjoys his daily walks with staff, time in the yard and going to his weekly physical therapy appointments where he does underwater treadmill. He will need some training during his transition to home life, but he will make sure to fill your whole world with fun and love. Meet Hula, a lively 10 month-old Frenchie with a stunning merle coat and striking heterochromia. His bouncy energy and love for attention are truly hard to resist. Lilo is an adorable poodle who we intercepted through our San Bernardino Intervention program. She is so friendly! She loves to go on walks and is very smart. She has gotten along well with the other dogs here and she loves people so much! She is being spayed next week and is ready to meet potential adopters now.

Luna is a sweet two-year-old German Shepard mix who loves giving face kisses, going on walks with staff and playing catch. She already knows how to sit and takes treats very politely. Marvin is a shy and mellow boy who loves to cuddle up in your lap. We rescued him from the San Bernardino Shelter. He was found as a stray and taken to the shelter with a few wounds including a foxtail embedded in his front paw. We took him in and got him all fixed up. He does have some skin issues/allergies and is on medication to help with that. He is good with other dogs but does have a little bit of resource guarding that needs to be worked on. He is a little shy at first but warms up as soon as you start petting him. He can't wait to find his forever people!

Meet Mr. Waffles, our 3 year old terrier! Waffles enjoys spending his days in one of our yards chasing around critters or playing with all of his favorite toys. He'll even come up to you and show off his most prized toys with a happy smile and fast wagging tail. Waffles also loves to play with water from our hose or the splash pad, and would probably be a great adventure companion to get all of his playful energy out. He also knows several commands like sit, down, and paw. He is very treat motivated and smart so training him to do nearly anything should be a breeze! He's been an amazing addition to the sanctuary's furry family and we can't wait for his perfect match to come along! Muddy Buddy is a wonderful boy! He is active, happy and good with other dogs and people. He doesn't love his feet being touched and was recently treated for a foot infection but is doing great now. Paisley is a super sweet little puppy who was found in a cardboard box at a gas station. We intercepted her before she could be taken to the San Bernardino Shelter. If you are interested please submit an application.

Pearl is a sweet senior pup who was originally surrendered to the shelter as a stray. She has been adopted and returned twice. First because her elderly owner had to go into a care facility and the second time because the family was having a baby. She is the absolute best girl! She has so much personality, she is mellow, loving and very outgoing. She loves other dogs and is good around cats. She has developed some heart and kidney issues as she has been getting on in her golden years. She takes daily medication and is doing great! Meet Penny! This sweet girl just returned to us after being adopted out as a young puppy and has already warmed up to the staff here at the sanctuary. She first came to us with a small skull fracture which resulted in her left eye being removed. She enjoys baby talk and pets, and would be a great companion as a solo pet or even a family dog. Penny knows sit and paw, and would probably do great with additional training since she's so smart! Punky is the best! We rescued her along with a few other dogs that were previously used for breeding. She has sensitive skin and is on a daily pill to help her allergies. Punky is the definition of a gentle giant. She may look intimidating but she is really a softie. She loves to have her belly rubbed, is very affectionate and is great in the car. She has a very silly personality, is extremely outgoing and will make a wonderful companion. If you're looking for your very own house hippo, look no further!

Stitch is a tall, friendly poodle who was intercepted in San Bernardino by our Intervention Counselor. He loves to go on walks, is friendly with other dogs and adores people! He would love nothing more than to find his forever family. He is being neutered soon and is ready for adoption!

Tiny is a very sweet but shy chihuahua mix who we rescued from a hoarding situation. She has been doing so well with us since we rescued her. She is becoming more comfortable with staff and volunteers and is doing well going on walks in the neighborhood. She is definitely skittish from lack of socialization but getting better every day. She loves other dogs and would likely be most comfortable in a home with a canine friend.

Winnie is an adorable pug who we rescued from the San Bernardino Animal Shelter where she was turned in as a stray. It didn't take long for her to capture the hearts of staff and volunteers alike. She is surprisingly mellow for her age and does well with cats and other dogs. She likes to play and is coming out of her shell more and more every day.
