Andre is a super friendly community cat we rescued from a colony in Compton. He was quickly adopted, but sadly brought back after his owner needed to move to assisted care. He loves people and can be very cuddly, but rambunctious and playful too! He is so wonderful and can't wait to be someone's companion again!

Atticus came to us through our San Bernardino Intervention Program after his previous owner, heartbroken but overwhelmed, surrendered him. As an indoor/outdoor cat, Atticus had been getting into scuffles with other neighborhood cats, and it just wasn’t safe for him anymore. Now neutered, safe, and settling into his new environment, Atticus is thriving. This big, handsome boy is FIV-positive, but don’t let that worry you—cats with FIV can live long, healthy, and happy lives with the right care. Buttons was abandoned as a small kitten at our front door along with her siblings. She is a very happy and playful girl. She will chirp at us for attention and loves to run around to get her zoomies out. She settles down for a good cuddle session and is overall a very good girl! Callahan is a big, lovable, and talkative 7-year-old boy who has been through quite a journey and is finally ready for his happy ending. He was rescued from the Palmdale Animal Shelter after being found as a stray with several painful injuries on his body, believed to be burns or road rash. His wounds took nearly a year to heal, but through it all, even while living in a cone to protect himself from licking what was licking itchy and uncomfortable, Callahan stayed cheerful, affectionate, and incredibly easy to work with. During his recovery, we discovered that Callahan has some food allergies that made it harder for his skin to heal, but once we found the right diet and medication, everything began to turn around. Now his skin is healthy, his fur is growing back beautifully, and he’s loving life again. Callahan is FIV+, but that shouldn't deter anyone interested in him who already has other cats because he has always done well with other felines. Callahan is a super mellow cat and enjoys lounging in cozy spots, birdwatching from the window, or curling up in a soft bed or cat tree for long naps. He recently had a dental cleaning and an EKG for his heart murmur, and while he’ll need to stay on heart medication and have yearly checkups, he’s in great spirits and doing wonderfully overall. Because of his medical history, Callahan will be a forever foster, meaning St. Bonnie’s will cover the cost of his ongoing medical care and prescriptions for his preexisting conditions. Chai is a beautiful little kitten with a big story and an even bigger heart. She was rescued from the Lancaster shelter after being overlooked due to a congenital eye condition called Eyelid Agenesis and Entropion, where the upper eyelids don’t form properly and tiny hairs grow directly onto the corneas, a condition that can cause constant discomfort and if not treated, damage the eye. But despite all of that, Chai has always had the sweetest, most loving disposition. Even when she was likely feeling uncomfortable, she just wanted to be a normal kitten- soaking up affection, chasing toys, and making friends with everyone she met. Chai is a total social butterfly. She gets along wonderfully with other cats and has completely charmed the little dogs she’s met. She loves to rub up against them for affection and happily trots after them like they’re her new best pals. If there’s a friend to make, Chai is on it. Thanks to two rounds of cryotherapy with a veterinary ophthalmologist, the pesky hairs that once bothered her eyes won’t grow back again. From here on out, she’ll just need some lubricating drops or ointment to keep those beautiful eyes comfy. Otherwise, she’s a happy, healthy, silly little kitten who’s ready for all the adventures life has waiting for her. Chickpea is a very shy kitten who was rescued from a garden center with her mom and siblings. She has come a very long way from the grumpy, hissy girl we first met. She is slowly starting to trust us and letting us pet her. She is still very nervous and untrusting but we know that with some more time she will continue to open up and trust people.

Clementine is a soft, sweet soul who came to us with her siblings and has been slowly but surely blossoming in our care. Though she’s still shy around people, she’s making progress every day—and we’re so proud of how far she’s come. This gentle girl adores other cats and would thrive in a home with a confident feline friend to help her continue coming out of her shell. She loves burrowing in cozy blankets, chasing a laser pointer, and batting at a wand toy when she thinks no one’s watching. Cleo is a shy beauty with the prettiest eyes. She was from a backyard hoarding situation where she had recently given birth. We were able to find a wonderful foster for her and her two kittens and they all have come out of their shell so much! We rescued Effie from the shelter where she was going to be euthanized due to her leg deformity. Her right rear leg does not extend and stays tucked in and twisted toward her body. She requires no extra care because of this and is otherwise healthy. It does not cause her any pain. Effie gets around just fine on three legs and loves to run around and play. She loves all sorts of toys. Effie is a little nervous at first, especially when she is first approached, but she likes being pet, held, and cuddled and she definitely warms up quickly! She is very cute and very special. Her best friend is Madeline and they are always cuddling or playing. They need to be adopted into a home together.

Erica is a beautiful girl with unique face markings. She was rescued as a newborn with her brother Jackson and mom from Lancaster Shelter. She enjoys exploring the cat enclosure, nosing in on other cat activities and making sure she is seen. Erica can be a little hand shy, but after some playtime and just talking with her she opens up beautifully. Erica is a playful, fun cat that is ready to find a forever home!

Everett is fearless. He was born in a backyard cat hoarding situation and was the only one of his siblings to survive. One of our staff members fostered him to make sure he was growing healthy and strong. He is the most outgoing boy! He likes to play hard and adores other cats. He loves to climb, jump and wrestle. Once he tires himself out he is the most cuddly boy who is content with curling up in your lap. He developed FIP but recovered well! Since he has so much energy he would do best in a home with another cat to help tire him out. He is a wonderful boy who is going to make someone very happy!

Our little Gabby was originally found living in a car engine with her brother Glenn. They were safely taken out and brought into our care. Both kitten took time to feel safe and secure, but slowly they began to trust our staff and open up. Gabby was the first of the pair to let her guard down and allow for pets. She is still on a journey to fully open up her heart, but she has made such strides and we know she will blossom even more in the right environment. She is playful and curious and is now making new friends, both feline and human!

Glenn is a sweet and curious young boy with a soft spot for sparkly toys and tiny plush mice. Rescued from a car engine as a kitten alongside his sister Gabby, Glenn has come a long way from his shy beginnings. With patience and love, he's slowly opened up, and we’re seeing more of his charming personality every day. He now chirps a cheerful “hello” when we walk into the room, and he purrs like a little engine when receiving gentle pets. Glenn is still a bit wary of loud noises and sudden movements, but he’s learning to trust—and it's been such a joy to watch his confidence grow. Glenn would thrive in a quiet, calm home with another young, friendly cat to show him the ropes and share in the fun.

Gravy is a sweet and gorgeous girl who was turned in as a stray to the South LA Shelter. In her time with us here, she's been nothing short of perfection! We treated her for a minor ear infection, and now she's ready to find her forever home. If you're looking for a roly-poly kitty to ask for affection and belly rubs, she's your girl!

Gumbo was part of a TNR event but after being released he was injured and his microchip led him back to us. His rough start on the streets led him to be FIV positive but he gets along great with most other cats. With his compromised immune system, he developed FIP and was very anemic. After a blood transfusion, a lot of love and FIP medication he bounced back. He is healthy and strong again and just the sweetest boy. His fur is extra soft and he loves to burrow in blankets when he isn't cuddling with his favorite humans. He would probably be happiest as a solo cat in the household but if he has feline friends he gets along best with females. He isn't a huge fan of large male cats because he feels like he needs to compete. He is a talkative, charming boy who deserves to live a pampered life.

Holland came to us as a young kitten, along with her sister Marquette, after a compassionate Samaritan rescued their entire family. Of the group, Holland was the shyest—but with time, patience, and love, she has blossomed into a sweet and social girl. These days, Holland will chirp to ask for pets, loves to play, and can often be found wrestling or cuddling with Marquette. Her bond with her sister is strong, and they bring out the best in each other. Holland and Marquette are looking for a forever home together where they can continue to thrive and share their love.

Honeydew is a very shy girl who we took in with her siblings. She is starting to open up and it is so rewarding to see her progress! She will let us pick her up and hold her and she likes to be pet. She definitely needs to be in a home with another young cat so she can feel comfortable.

Hunter is a fluffy little sweetheart who came to us with his sister, Ember, after they were brought in as strays from the Lancaster shelter. He’s the perfect mix of chill and outgoing—always happy to cuddle, but just as excited to play and wrestle with his sister. Hunter has been meeting lots of other cats here at the sanctuary and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets. He would thrive being adopted with Ember, paired with another kitten of similar age or energy, or joining a home with a playful resident cat who can keep up with his fun-loving spirit. Iguana was rescued from a hoarding situation with his siblings. He is very shy and we have been working with him to get him more comfortable with people. He loves to cuddle and play with other cats and we know with more time he will open up. He is still very timid and skittish so he needs a patient owner and a quiet home preferably with another young mellow cat or his brother Newt.

Ingrid is a sweet and shy young girl who we rescued with her three kittens. She is very shy with new people but over time we have gained her trust. She likes other cats and loves being in quiet nooks or cat trees. She is very treat motivated and will meow for Churu treats. She likes Temptations treats and puzzle feeders. Ingrid would love a calm and quiet home with a patient owner who understands that she will need some time to feel comfortable and relaxed. This sweet girl came in with her 4 siblings and mom and has really just made this place home and befriended everyone she meets. Jinks is a senior girl who we rescued back in 2014 after she had been attacked by a dog and was only about a year old. She was quickly adopted by one of our volunteers and lived happily in their home for 11 years. Unfortunately, her world was turned upside down when her owner passed away. With no one else able to take her in, she came back to us and was very shaken. She was grumpy and untrusting. After a little bit of time and TLC, Jinks realized that she was in a safe place and started to let her guard down. Now, she happily accepts pets but will tell you when she's had enough. She knows what she wants and when she wants it. She is a sassy girl with a silly personality and we love her diva attitude. She doesn't care for other cats but tolerates their presence. She would love to find her way back into a home where she can be pampered and unbothered by other pets. She would do best in a mellow home with a laid back owner who wants a cat who will hang out, play occasionally and be a loyal, loving companion.

Kevin is the most loving, confident, and outgoing guy you’ll ever meet! He’s a total cuddle bug who adores people, enjoys the company of other cats, and never says no to playtime. Curious and full of personality, Kevin is always ready to explore—or settle in your lap for a good snuggle session. He does have some allergies, but don’t let that scare you! He gets a simple allergy shot every two weeks and eats a limited ingredient diet to keep him feeling his best. His care routine is easy to manage, and he handles it like a champ. Due to his environmental allergies (like grass and pollen), Kevin will need to be kept strictly indoors—but honestly, he’s perfectly happy that way. You might notice a little scarring on one of his eyes, but it’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect his vision at all. Kevin is a sweet, confident boy who’s been waiting for someone to see just how special he is. Kingfisher was rescued from an apartment complex in Compton when he was just four weeks old, along with his mama Kestrel and siblings Kea and Kookaburra. Starting life a little shy and uncertain, Kingfisher is now blossoming every day. Though he’s still a bit skittish at first, Kingfisher loves to play and quickly warms up once toys come out. He often cuddles with his siblings or other kittens, drawing strength and comfort from their company. Meet Lannister, an adorable little guy that has completely blossomed since being in our care. He and his siblings arrived at only a few weeks old and were absolutely terrified of everything. We have spent the last few months spending every spare second to socialize them and all the hard work has paid off. It turns out that Lannister is an extremely loving and affectionate little kitten. Though he may be a bit shy at first, he quickly warms up and will show you all the cuteness he has stored inside him. He will often follow us as we leave the room and mew at the door in hopes that we will quickly return to keep him company. He loves to rub up on the walls, your leg, enjoys play time with other kittens his age, loves to cling onto the older cats, and is an all around rockstar. His best friends are his siblings Bolton and Shae and ideally we would find them a home as a pair. We are so proud of how far Lannister has come and are confident that he would make an incredible friend to anyone that adopts him.

Lilly just finished raising her litter of six kittens and now that her mom duties are done, she’s ready to find a home of her own. Lou and his siblings were rescued as strays in Mid-City LA. They are sweet, curious, and cuddly kittens excited to find their forever homes! Lou seems to be the most outgoing and playful of the bunch, and he absolutely loves to make biscuits! He would love to find a forever home where he can live with his sister, Tina!

We rescued Madeline from the shelter because she had a ruptured eye. It needed to be removed but she doesn't mind at all. She is sweet, cuddly and loves to sit in your lap. She is extremely playful and often gets the zoomies. She loves to run around and explore and play with new toys. She is best friends with Effie and they are always napping or playing together. Marquette and her sister Holland were rescued as young kittens by a kind-hearted Samaritan. Initially shy and unsure of people, these sisters have blossomed with time, patience, and lots of love. Minky is a very sweet, young cat who had a rough start in life. She was surrendered to the shelter after a month with living with a prolapsed rectum. Despite her medical issue, Minky was still loving, affectionate and playful. After we rescued her she required three separate surgeries to correct the prolapse. Now her bum is normal and she is comfortable and happy. She is so affectionate and she can't wait to find her forever family.

Meet Mounds, a sweet senior looking to spend his golden years being spoiled in the lap of luxury. Mounds found his home as a young cat but was sadly recently returned to us after his owner of 12 years passed away. Ozzy and his housemate Sasha Fierce were intercepted by our Intervention Counselor in San Bernardino. Their owner was homeless and living in a car with the cats and two dogs. Pepita is a beautiful young cat who was adopted from the shelter and then returned because she had an upper respiratory infection. We scooped her up and treated the URI. She was having some food allergies which would cause her to drool excessively but being on a single protein diet resolved the issue. She is now in a room with other cats and getting to know everyone. Percy is a total character—sweet, playful, and full of life! He’s overcome a lot as a kitten, including a broken leg and FIP, but he made a full recovery and hasn’t looked back since. Poppy is a petite and beautiful kitty, as lovely as the flower she’s named after. She was sadly overlooked at the shelter because of her cloudy right eye, but after a thorough exam by our vet, we learned it doesn’t affect her well-being in any way. Her cornea carries a scar from an old infection when she was younger, but the eye still functions and has vision, is mostly cosmetic, and does not cause her any pain, discomfort, negatively affect her quality of life, and does not require any medication. This gentle girl has a calm, low-key personality and enjoys simple pleasures like bird watching out the window, curling up on a cozy cat tree, or lounging on a soft bed. She’s a pretty low-maintenance kitty and would make the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a peaceful, easygoing cat who still frequently seeks love and attention from those around her. She has lived comfortably around many cats and kittens at the sanctuary, though she prefers when her feline friends are calm, respectful of her space, and allow her a few days to get to know each other. Rosalia was rescued from the South LA Shelter after being brought in as a stray. This tiny girl may be petite in size, but she’s full of charm and sweetness. At first, Rosalia was a little shy, but with patience and love, she’s blossomed into a playful, affectionate kitty with a wonderfully quirky personality. One of her favorite pastimes? Lying on her back, gazing up at the ceiling, and wiggling around for belly rubs—she’s a total goofball in the best way. Salsa was a very shy kitten when she first came to us but soon after she settled in she became a very cuddly and playful cat. She was diagnosed with neurological FIP and had a hard time beating it. Luckily after months of treatment she is now doing so much better. She is vision impaired but can see well enough to get around and play with her favorite sparkly toys. Early on in her FIP diagnosis, she lost use of her hind legs but regained movement during treatment. She is still a little wobbly on her back legs but they are getting stronger and it doesn't interfere with her zoomies and you would be surprised at how fast she can be! She has been such a champion at adapting to her new life. She is a very sweet girl who loves to chirp at us for attention and lean against us for pets. She has the cutest, gentlest little mews that will steal your heart. Sometimes she takes a minute to warm up to new people but once she knows that she is safe and loved she really blossoms.

Sugarplum was rescued from the East Valley Animal Shelter when she wasn’t eating and had swelling in her mouth. Thanks to quick veterinary care and a visit to our amazing dentist, she was diagnosed with a severe case of stomatitis. Because of the inflammation, Sugarplum had to have all of her teeth removed—but the difference it’s made in her life is incredible! Now, Sugarplum is feeling so much better—pain-free, happy, and full of love. She eats just fine, loves cuddles, and can’t get enough of feather toys and playtime. Meet Taylor! Taylor was adopted out as a kitten but returned to us at 5 years old due to his allergies that affected his skin. After seeing a veterinary dermatologist, we were able to determine that his skin issues were cause from food sensitivities, have switched him to a Z/D diet, his skin has since completely cleared up and has completely healed. Taylor will need to remain on this diet life to ensure his health and comfort. Since returning to the sanctuary, Taylor has blossomed into the sweetest boy! Though he was nervous to come out of his shell at first, he learned that our staff was here to love and care for him and before we knew it, he was calling out for attention and affection. Taylor will often meow from his kennel or a perch of a cat tree, alerting you to exactly where he is to you can quickly come over and give him the smooch he craves. He approaches the staff with his loud purrs always ready for pets. At first he was a bit nervous to meet the other cats since it was such a big change from his previous home life, but now Taylor has no problem spending his days on our catio with dozens of other felines.
