Amous
Male
6 years 9 months.
Amous
Visit me at Lange Foundation
"Amous came to us when his previous owner was moving out of the country and couldn't take Amous with him. Amous is slightly overweight but loves going on his daily walks. We are slowly getting him down to a healthy weight to help with some lower hip pain that he has from extra weight on his joints. He has done well with other dogs but is still cautious around new people. We aren't sure what happened in his past but he takes a while to trust new people and let them pet him. He has a few food allergies that irritate his skin. He is a smart guy who can be very loving when given the chance. He needs an experienced owner who will take things slow with him and help him build a solid foundation of trust. He has a bite history but we have seen his sweet side once he knows you so we know there is hope for him to find a loving and understanding forever home." |

"Meet Argyle! This little Pekinese will melt your heart with one look. Who could resist those big brown eyes and silly little underbite? Argyle has only been with us a few days and though he was initially a bit timid with his new surroundings, he is quickly learning what it means to be loved and adored. He loves to go on walks and might even jump for joy in the midst of one. He also loves to run over and cuddle in your lap if you let him. Argyle would make a great addition to any family!\nIf you would like to meet Argyle, fill out an application at:\nhttps:\/\/langefoundation.org\/dog-adoption-application\/" |

Benny
Visit me at Foster::Nicky Schneidman
"Benny is a 6 year old spaniel mix. He is a very sweet and silly guy who loves his toys, rolling around on his back and getting belly rubs. He was treated for a luxating patella and has a slight limp, but that doesn't stop him from loving his walks! Benny has some separation anxiety so he would do best in a home with a dog companion he can play with. He can get possessive over his toys sometimes so we recommend him going to a home without small children. He does just fine around cats. Benny is going to make a great companion for someone very special." |

Cardan
Visit me at Lange Foundation
"Cardan, our beautiful blue eyed Husky, is quite the catch! He went to a two week training camp because he is so smart and has an eagerness to learn. He had so much fun, made doggy friends and learned several commands. He walks well on leash and listens so well when we tell him to drop something or to sit. Cardan is outgoing, active and very loving and silly. He loves to play with toys and has a goofy side that comes out during playtime. He is smart, confident and will be a very loyal companion. We feel that he would do best in a home with a yard and an active family. He would be a wonderful hiking buddy. He gets along well with most other dogs but has a bit of an alpha personality so he can butt heads with other confident dogs. Whoever takes home this handsome guy is in for a wonderful friend." |

"Chuck is a very cute and very sweet boy who was intercepted by our founder. He was going to be surrendered to the shelter due to medical costs. He had an injury to his penis which required surgery. "Darcy is an adorable 11 month old cocker spaniel who is so excited to be around people! Her first instinct is to throw herself in your arms, tail wagging, and give you lots of face kisses. "Dasher is a 4 year old chihuahua, miniature pincher mix who loves people! He's pretty mellow but perks up when the staff come around to show him some love. He seems to be previously crate trained and does great on walks, always looking back to make sure you're still following along with him. Dasher currently does have a bandage around his paw due to an infected toe, but is on pain medication and antibiotics. Despite this, he's been a great sport and is a very optimistic guy!\n\nIf you're interested in meeting Dasher, you can fill out an application at: https:\/\/langefoundation.org\/dog-adoption-application\/\n\nEmail: st.bonnies@gmail.com\nPhone: 661-251-5590" |

Henri
Visit me at Lange Foundation
"Henri is our silly and spunky terrier mix. He was rescued from the San Bernardino shelter with lacerations down his neck. We took him immediately to the emergency vet to get the necessary surgery to repair his wounds. He is such a sweet soul who is very loving once he gets to know you. He is nervous around strangers and needs whoever adopts him to be slow and patient when introducing him to new people. He doesn't trust people right away likely due to something that happened to him before he came into our care, but once he does trust you he is very loyal. Henri is a young boy who has a lot of energy and spirit and is patiently waiting for the right person to come along." |

He has his sweet moments but also does not fully trust people and can have some behavioral problems. He doesn't like being in a kennel or crate so crate training would not be a great option for him." |

"Marion is a sweet girl who was rescued by our San Bernardino Intervention Counselor. She was set for euthanasia due to numerous wounds but we were able to get her here to our West LA facility and right into surgery at our emergency vet. The vet thinks she was attacked by a larger dog. Her lacerations have healed and she needed to have surgery on her hip but is doing better now. She is taking short walks around the neighborhood and is overall just a wonderful pup." |

"Nino is an energetic guy who loves going on long walks and being outside. He is a very sweet dog who is a bit misunderstood. He was in a home for seven years and then returned to us after the family had a second child and Nino was unhappy. Nino is great once he bonds with and trusts you and LOVES to give kisses. He can be really nervous when thrown into a new environment or stressful situation so it is important to go slow with him so he knows he is safe." |

Punky
Female

Punky
Visit me at Lange Foundation
"Punky is the best! We rescued her along with a few other dogs that were previously used for breeding. She has sensitive skin and is on a daily pill to help her with skin irritation. Punky is the definition of gentle giant. She may look intimidating but she is really a softie. She spooks easily by loud cars that drive by and the dreaded garbage truck so she often prefers to go on walks with another dog to help her confidence. She loves to have her belly rubbed, is very affectionate and is great in the car. She has a very silly personality, is extremely outgoing and will make a wonderful companion. She does well with other dogs and likes being part of a pack but would also be happy being an only dog. If you're looking for your very own house hippo, look no further!" |

Swiffer
Male
13 years 2 months.
Swiffer
Visit me at Lange Foundation
"Swiffer was originally rescued from the South LA shelter back in January 2014. He was quickly adopted and spent 6 years in a home. The family had a child and while they co-existed together for about 3 years, Swiffer had a difficult time adjusting to the toddler and unfortunately did bite the child. \n\nSince Swiffer has been with us he has been a total joy! He has some trust issues and will bark a lot initially when meeting a new person but he settles in fairly quickly. He would not do well in a home with young children who don't know when to give a dog space. \n\nOnce Swiffer gets to know you he shows off his awesome and silly personality. He loves to go on long walks, cuddling on the couch and playing with his stuffed animals. He does well with most dogs as long as there is a proper introduction and he doesn't feel overwhelmed. He doesn't have an affinity for cats so it would be best for him to be adopted out into a cat-free home. Overall, Swiffer is a very wonderful companion, but just needs the right atmosphere to thrive!" |

Vincent Grey
Visit me at Lange Foundation
"We rescued Vincent Grey from the South LA Shelter where he was turned in as a stray. He was limping on one of his front legs and covered in fleas. we took him to VCA ASEC where they did xrays and found that he had a old but healing fracture that did not require surgery. He seems to have a flea allergy but now that he has been treated for fleas his hair should grow in more. He is a big cuddler who loves to give kisses. He is going to need a dental cleaning but in the meantime is very excited to meet new people and find his forever home!" |

Vulcan
Male

Vulcan
Visit me at St. Bonnie's Sanctuary
"Weighing in at 77 pounds of pure muscle, this big guy has an even bigger heart. Vulcan loves to be cuddled but tends to forget his size as he attempts to sit in your lap. He has recently learned how to swim and enjoys jumping in to catch his favorite plush and rope toys. Vulcan has also just completed a 4 week training course at Wags and Walks and has been very enthusiastic about meeting other dogs here at the sanctuary!\n\nVulcan would do well in an active home with those who can handle or have experience with large breed dogs. All applicants must have a securely fenced yard and should be observed when outdoors as Vulcan knows how to jump over most standard fences. \n\nIf you're interested in meeting Vulcan, you can fill out an application at https:\/\/langefoundation.org\/dog-adoption-application\/" |
